Building a Stronger Parkland County Through Accessible Mental Health Support
The Dóchas Resilience Foundation provides accessible counselling, mental health workshops, and community programs designed to reduce barriers to mental health support. Our programs help make compassionate, high-quality care easier to access for people who struggle to find the support they need.
Everyone Deserves Quality Mental Health Care
At the Dóchas Resilience Foundation, we’re removing barriers to compassionate, high-quality mental health support.
Mental health care shouldn’t be a luxury. Through community support, subsidized services, and a commitment to equity, we’re helping people in the Edmonton, Spruce Grove, and Parkland County areas and across Alberta access the care they deserve, regardless of the crap life has thrown at them.
About
The Dóchas Resilience Foundation is a not-for-profit organization working to break down the financial barriers that can make it hard to access mental health support. We believe support should be accessible, inclusive and personalized, because healing doesn’t look the same for everyone.
Rooted in community, the Dóchas Resilience Foundation works with our local communities to provide affordable counselling and mental health workshops for people who need a life raft, not another bill.
Through donations, partnerships, and in-kind support, we work to create meaningful change, one person, one session and one community at a time.
Who We Are
The Dóchas Resilience Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organization supported by a volunteer Board of Directors, community partners, volunteers, and unpaid practicum interns.
Our belief is that everyone deserves to access the support they need. Our work is guided by the needs of the communities we serve and we are committed to making mental health support more accessible.
We currently offer:
- In-person services in Spruce Grove that can be accessed by individuals from Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, Edmonton, and surrounding areas.

Why Accessible Mental Health Care Matters
Mental health concerns affect many Canadians, but getting support is not always easy. Cost, limited insurance coverage, and other barriers can leave people without the care they need.
We believe mental health care should not be a luxury. Through accessible counselling, mental health workshops, community partnerships, and the support of donors and volunteers, the Dóchas Resilience Foundation works to make mental health support easier to access.
